KCO Person of the Year

Ramona McCook

Ramona McCook is a shining example of our Keeley'n Values. Her career has been one of service to the people that work for her, and for all Keeley’ns. Ramona has been a key Leader and vocal advocate for Keeley’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts. Ramona has led a distinguished career and her unique brand of Leadership and perseverance in the face of professional and personal challenges is an example to all Keeleyn’s of a life well led.

Constructor of the Year

Dave Debord

Since joining the Keeley Family in July 2018, Dave Debord has been a huge asset to the Energy Team. Bringing with him a vast experience in the Energy Construction sector, Dave successfully managed the Mark Twain T-Line, Keeley’s largest project at the time. Recently Dave received a well-deserved promotion to Sr. Project Director and with him managing the day-to-day operation of the Energy Group, there is no doubt that Dave will continue to be an instrumental part of the Energy Group as they continue to set the bar at Keeley Construction! 

Power of One

Stellar Manufacturing

The Stellar Manufacturing Expansion project is the ideal power of one project as it encompassed all of what Keeley Construction has to offer. Led by Steve Mitchler and Chad Mathis, they brought extensive Industrial & Building expertise to the project. Partnering internally with our Ironworker & Carpenter Services, Civil, and Paving teams to deliver a safe, quality, and on-time building shell execution. Ali Gammon

Ali Gammon has been supervising and running work for the Energy group for 3 years. She is well respected by our fellow Keeley'ns under her leadership in the field, in the office and with our customers. She ensures that jobs are completed in a timely manner and that they stay on budget with proposals. Ali will continue doing amazing things at Keeley with her drive and leadership. Congratulations, Ali!

Fleet Person of the Year

Neil Boatright

Neil has been with Keeley going on 8 years and has a been a tremendous team member along the way. Neil constantly exemplifies the “whatever it takes” attitude to get the jobs done and the equipment up and running to be successful at the field level. The amount of discipline Neil practices on a daily basis is second to none and we are truly grateful to have him apart of the Fleet team. Congratulations, Neil!

Risk Person of the Year

Lindsay Sexton

Lindsay built Keeley’s industry leading Fleet Safety Program out of her own competence, character and charisma. Lindsay does not take no for an answer, always choosing hard work over the easier shortcuts while carrying herself with compassion and humility. Lindsay demonstrates the characteristics of the best Keeley leaders, the ability to listen, discern and take accountable action. Congratulations, Lindsay!

Justin Naber

Justin’s relentless pursuit of new customers as well as his mindset of taking care of his existing customer’s needs is the reason that we have grown so many of our partnerships year after year. Technology Person of the Year

Ryan Killoren

Ryan Killoren has quickly established himself as a disciplined and talented Project Manager on our IT Team. With the help of others, Ryan is leading the largest IT implementation in the history of the Keeley Companies. Ryan’s colleagues appreciate his combination of urgency, clarity, accountability, and humor as he navigates the team thorough the many meetings, sessions, tests, and debriefs required to complete a project of this size. People Operations Person of the Year

Brittany Moore

While continuing to build our TA Platform and creating our Craft Recruiting Focus, Brittany managed to fully implement our new HRIS platform, UKG, with such confidence and grace. Brittany not only worked directly with our integration partner daily, but she became the main source of knowledge and supported each team with their internal set up in the system. We would not have been able to implement this transition without her discipline and focus on our people. Congratulations, Brittany!

Finance Person of the Year

Daniel Bradley

Daniel began his career at Keeley in 2017 as the Controller of Keeley Construction. Over the years he has implemented many reporting improvements and provided our operational groups with numerous data requests for bids, etc. In 2024, Daniel’s primary focus has been on our new ERP system - CMiC. The CMiC project is going to be a huge success due to Daniel’s understanding of our old system, how we want CMiC to run as well as the information we want CMiC to provide. He has worked countless hours without mention as he continues to support the company in his duties as VP of Finance. Daniel also is a great mentor to our accounting staff when it comes to understanding the accounting rules and guidelines we need to abide by. He lives the Keeley Culture, actively participates in #KeeleyCares and is willing to jump in and help whomever whenever. Congratulations Daniel!

Katie Prosser

The Marketing Team has spoken, and Katie Prosser has been overwhelmingly chosen as the Marketing Person of the Year! Katie exemplifies our mission and values, approaching each day with a commitment to enhancing the lives of every Keeley'n through effective and thoughtful communication. With her sharp intellect and compassionate spirit, she consistently goes above and beyond to strengthen our culture and will do whatever it takes to deliver outstanding results. Congratulations, Katie!

Quality Person of the Year

Ed Reinken

Ed’s unwavering dedication to building the highest quality projects is unmatched. He exemplifies our Quality Program through his conscious efforts to provide Quality Service and a Quality Finish product. Concrete, which is a significant portion of our business, also accounts for a significant chunk of our challenges. We consider Ed a vital part of our Quality Team and acknowledge him as our expert in his field. The elements of concrete and concrete finishing are different for every application. Ed has an innate ability to lead his team while conducting a chemistry experiment - accounting for weather, mixing of chemical additives, strict industry standards, and construction worker’s attitudes. At the same time, he is performing physically demanding work to deliver a product we can all be proud of. He leads his crews and supports our projects with the utmost respect and integrity. Heavy Industries

Our Heavy Industries team has gone 3 ½ years without a recordable! They continue to work in high-risk environments and self-perform a majority of their work. Our Heavy Industries team just achieved ONE MILLION safe work hours with ZERO recordable safety incidents! This achievement is driven by their #NoCompromise focus - never placing anything ahead of safety and ensuring everyone goes home safe every day. They are true examples of bringing safety into everything we do at Keeley.

Mike Jenkins

Mike runs a tight ship on his jobsites, ensuring everyone goes home safe. He has always impressed our toughest customers and has been quick to adopt our KeeleySafe initiatives. Joe Philipp

Joe continues to be a leader in the field by focusing on not only his, but his co-worker’s safety as well. Joe takes his engagement in the Safety Assessment and Good Catch programs to heart. His attention to Safety on our jobsites keeps Keeley'ns going home safe every day. Joe has been with Keeley for five years, and every single year he leads the company in Good Catches. Mike Schmid

Mike leads our Millipore and Spire accounts, both of which continue to seek us out for their construction solutions. Mike is an analytical problem solver and planner that can clearly communicate and explain to clients how the plan will be developed and benefits to them in the final execution. He is a tremendous team member, mentor, coach, and just a great human being to have a part of the team!

Bunge Cairo

The Bunge Cairo project was one of IND-MFG’s largest and most successful this year, showcasing leadership in complex self-perform industrial construction with significant Millwright, Ironworker, Civil, and KRS contributions. Completed in a tight operating plant environment, the team overcame numerous challenges to deliver a safe, high-quality project. CEMEX - Design Build Tunnel

The Cemex Concrete Tunnel project was an exemplary project that truly showcases the talents of our Texas Team and our unrelenting customer centric focus. At bid time, the estimating and operations team put together an alternate design build proposal that solved the clients need for a quicker solution to their issues. Upon award, the operations team worked with our design partner to shape the final project design to Keeley’s needs and allowed us to build the project quickly. This was a first of its type delivery for the Cemex project team, and Keeley’s team walked the client through the process, solving their concerns at every turn. The project was delivered on time with ZERO change orders to the client which is a first for Cemex.

This project showcased the incredible teamwork and synergy that comes from utilizing the Power of One. Eric Gower and the Geospatial team provided value-engineered solutions, a revised grading plan for better drainage, and training on a total station-equipped dozer. The Civil team contributed concrete finishers and laborers, with Ed Reinken and his team adapting to delays and schedule changes. Larry Keeley and Ricky Fowler's strong client relationships were key to securing trust, while STL Paving and the Walmart account division worked seamlessly as one team. Thanks to the dedication of our Union craft crews, thousands of hours of hard work delivered outstanding results. Paving West Project of the Year

Casa Grande

The AZ team would like to recognize the success of our Walmart capital project in Casa Grande, AZ. This project went from a mill and overlay with some full depth areas and concrete removal, to a full depth pavement removal with cement stabilization throughout almost the entire lot. With this large change of scope, the project almost doubled its contract amount making it the largest project the Arizona team completed in 2024. This project was estimated by Justin Treichel, project managed by Brandon Sharp, and superintended by Javier Ozuna. This project also showed the example of “Power of One”. When our milling partner schedule was going to delay the project, our in house Milling Services got us a crew and knocked out a phase to allow the project to stay on schedule. Congratulations to Javier Ozuna, Brandon Sharp, Justin Triechel, Adam Byington, and our Milling Services Group!

Marco Ruiz

Marco runs our seal coat/maintenance team out of Tucson, AZ. He brings a positive attitude to work every day and is willing to do "Whatever it Takes" to get the job done. He continues to step up when we need to work with Milling Services or complete odd job requests for our clients. Marco is a great example of how to build great client relations and perform quality work to secure reoccurring jobs.

Selfless, humble, and dependable would best describe Peter. Always focused on the team, Peter is always willing to lend a hand, provide guidance to new talent, and never hesitates to share his expertise. Peter has been instrumental in building, strengthening, and adding to the success of our Team.

Lowe's Storm Cleanup

As back-to-back hurricanes caused destruction throughout the East, our Maintenance Teams were quickly dispatched throughout North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Joining the Charlotte Team earlier this year, Quentin displayed his leadership, expertise, and knowledge from the start. When new challenges arise, Quentin quickly adapts, executes, and maintains a high level of performance. Quentin’s high standards and commitment to excellence inspire others and elevates the entire Team’s performance.

Marc Salazar

If there has been any one person who has always been the most reliable person around, it would be Marc Salazar. Marc started this year leading our field techs as the Regional Maintenance Manager but went above and beyond to help the self-perform operations for the New Braunfels office. No one else has dedicated more time and effort than he has to see this team become successful. 

Paving South Project of the Year

Walmart San Antonio

The project at a Walmart in San Antonio was the best showing of what we could be in the San Antonio market. With the help of Javier from the TX Civil team, we were able to provide a custom repair to a client that was receiving gallons of rain through their front doors every rainfall. The team not only executed the scope but completed the project a week early to ensure the store was ready for the Back to School weekend. It was a great project to showcase to our client how we can provide solutions to their complex challenges. Congratulations to Nathaniel Bowman, Daniel Diaz, and Marc Salazar!

Mitchell Uzzle

Mitchell has shown a lot growth this year leading his team of field techs in Louisiana. When our subcontractors became overbooked, he pulled his team together to perform small repairs to keep our clients happy. His team provided amazing quality and service while returning great profits to the group. His efforts show the true power of our tech teams with the right expertise.

Milling Services Person of the Year

Nick Coakley

Nick’s transition from the field to the office has played a key role in the success of Milling Services. Nick is now our Operations Manager. There is nothing he can’t handle, from Estimating to Scheduling to Customer Service. He gives 110% every day. Congratulations, Nick!

Milling Services Project of the Year

Coffman 101

The Milling Services Team proudly recognizes the Coffman 101 project in Scottsdale, Arizona—our first high-profile endeavor. Over two weekend closures, we milled four million square feet of asphalt on the 101 freeway. This massive undertaking required four mills running 36 hours straight each weekend, with standby machines and mechanics on hand. Starting Friday at 10 PM and finishing by 5 AM Monday, there was no room for error. Success came from seamless teamwork between Milling Operators, Office Staff, and support from STL Milling Operators. The project was completed on time, on budget, and even made local news, paving the way for a successful year. Special thanks to Paul Licon, Josh Jarrell, and Nick Coakley for supervising and leading each shift.

Building Leader of the Year

Domenic Serena

In the past year, Domenic has taken his career to the next level with his dedication to the projects he has worked and the Keeley’ns he has worked with. In addition to building great relationships with project owners and increasing exit margins on all of his jobs, Domenic has found time to Exceed Expectations by incorporating Power of One partnerships on all of his projects, organizing multiple #KeeleyCares events for the company, and managing projects for other Groups when they were over capacity and weren’t able to hire new project managers. His “Whatever it Takes” attitude to ensure success was on full display this year while he battled personal health issues and still came to work every day to make sure his assignments were being completed on time without burdening other people to do work for him. Congratulations, Domenic!

Building Project of the Year

Busey Bank

These Design-Build projects marked the culmination of a multi-year partnership with a Midwest-based client who shares Keeley’s values. Strategically paired for Busey Bank to ensure federal compliance in the St. Louis market, the projects upgraded customer services while overcoming challenges from unknown existing conditions. Despite these hurdles, the Keeley teams managed the additional work, maintained schedules, and achieved ZERO safety incidents. Keeley self-performed interior carpentry and drywall, boosting exit margins. The client was thrilled with the results, opening doors for future projects at other locations. He bleeds green, always acts in the best interest of Keeley and our customers, is willing to travel anywhere in the country when needed and is a great mentor to all of our craftspeople. Joe’s excellent planning skills create maximum efficiency on our projects and consistently produce successful results that exceed expectations. Congratulations, Joe!

Diana Ramirez

Diana incorporates white glove service into every aspect of her role as a Resident Experience Specialist. Her creativity shines through in her innovative internal and external marketing initiatives, which foster engagement and build a strong sense of community. Diana also organizes unique events that enhance the resident experience, while taking pride in training fellow Keeley team members to ensure that the entire team delivers exceptional service. Her work ethic and commitment to providing outstanding service have been pivotal to the success of The Clover. Diana’s dedication and attention to detail have been key to ensuring a smooth and positive experience for both residents and team members, significantly contributing to the community’s growth and success.

Rising Star

James Robbins

James has been crucial to the success BestBox has seen in the Pensacola market as well as the entire BestBox platform. His transition from a vast background in retail to our self storage business has been done seemingly effortless. James’ keen eye for operational improvements, ability to dig into the root of a problem, and drive to always remain focused on the customer has made him an invaluable part of the BestBox team. The attitude and personality James brings to his business is second to none, with an impressive ability to keep his peers smiling and his customers elated, even in the face of significant operational challenges outside his control. James, we thank you for all you’ve done to strengthen your property, our team, and our platform and look forward to all the successes and laughs ahead!
